At Sci-Lum, we recognize the unique challenges faced by PhD (doctoral) students striving to publish high-quality research while balancing academic and financial pressures. We are deeply committed to supporting early-career researchers, and as part of that mission, we offer a dedicated PhD Student Support program.
This initiative provides discounted services for authors who are actively enrolled in a PhD program in biomedical or health sciences. Eligible doctoral students can receive:
- 50% discount on Language Editing Services
- 40% discount on Article Processing Charges (APC) for accepted submissions
These discounts aim to reduce financial barriers and empower PhD candidates to share their work through rigorous, open-access publishing channels.
Eligibility
To qualify for the PhD Student Support, applicants must:
- Currently enrolled in a PhD or equivalent doctoral program
- Be the first or corresponding author of the manuscript
- Submit official proof of student status, such as:
- An enrollment certificate
- A scanned student ID card with valid dates
- A signed letter from a department or supervisor
This documentation should be submitted along with the manuscript or editing request.
How to Apply
To receive the PhD discount, eligible authors must submit proof of active doctoral student status prior to manuscript submission or language editing request. Documentation should be sent via email to services@sci-lum.com and will be reviewed promptly by the editorial team.
Once verified, the author will be added to our internal PhD Discount Registry, which ensures that applicable discounts are automatically applied to any future services rendered, including language editing or publication fees.
