Sci-Lum is a fully open-access journal, dedicated to the principle that high-quality scientific research should be freely accessible to all, without barriers. We believe that unrestricted access to knowledge fosters innovation, accelerates discovery, and enables equitable participation in the global scientific community.
All content published in Sci-Lum is made available immediately upon publication without any embargo period. There are no subscription fees, paywalls, or registration requirements for accessing articles. Readers are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without financial, legal, or technical restrictions.
To support this commitment, Sci-Lum publishes all articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits anyone to reuse, redistribute, or build upon the published material for any purpose—including commercial use—provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, and that any changes are clearly indicated.
Authors retain full copyright of their work. By submitting to Sci-Lum, authors agree to grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute their work under the CC BY 4.0 license. This approach aligns with the guidelines of Plan S, the Budapest Open Access Initiative, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
We do not charge any fees for reading or downloading articles. However, to cover the costs associated with editorial workflow, peer review, DOI registration, metadata dissemination, and hosting, Article Processing Charges (APCs) are applied upon acceptance. Details of these fees are transparently available on our APC page.
Sci-Lum is committed to long-term content preservation and guarantees that all published material is archived in durable and interoperable formats. We actively pursue integration with repositories and indexing services to ensure that our open-access content is discoverable, citable, and permanently accessible.
Our open access model is not only a publishing strategy—it is a philosophical commitment to democratizing science and removing structural inequities in knowledge dissemination.
