As a newly established open-access journal, Sci-Lum is committed to building a strong foundation for global discoverability, academic credibility, and long-term digital preservation. While we are not currently indexed in major biomedical databases, we have initiated the necessary preparations and technical standardization processes required for future inclusion in internationally recognized indexing and abstracting services.
All published articles are immediately assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) via Crossref, ensuring persistent citation, traceability, and scholarly interoperability. We are implementing full JATS XML formatting and aligning our editorial and publishing workflows with best practices recommended by indexing authorities such as DOAJ, PubMed Central, Scopus, and Web of Science.
The process of applying for inclusion in databases such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, and PMC is underway. While indexing is a gradual and rigorous process, we are fully committed to meeting the quality, transparency, and openness criteria required by these services.
Sci-Lum’s dedication to the principles of open science and methodological rigor positions us well for future recognition and integration into the global research ecosystem. We view indexing not as a badge of prestige, but as a responsibility to ensure that the knowledge we help disseminate remains accessible, citable, and preserved.
